Maybe we should try and find out more about it if that's the case? I don't want to scare you but it's possible it's doing both of those things. That doesn't mean we can't find a way to figure this out.

Not exactly, but kind of? It never physically attacked me. But... It was ancient being that knew a lot more about our world than the rest of us. It kept secrets and led us along with bread crumbs of what we were actually up against. We eventually learned the truth and it locked itself away in my friends head, leaving us to figure things out on our own.
