And I know I've said there isn't a lot of magic in my world but it's one of the traces that they left behind.

...It's my eyes. Silver eyes are a rare trait back where I'm from. I didn't think much about it growing up because there wasn't a lot of information about them outside of stories.
But it turns out there might be a connection to the same God of Light who made the lamp. I saw a vision with him in it and we had the same eyes and could do similar things.
I don't know much else about it. I know it has something to do with protecting creation or preserving life.
